So what do you want to do? go back?

Which will bring the run to about 40km!,

keep going and we may find a way out of here?,

our we could just go for it! what, we have a 3rd option. Ya the hotel is just over there,

look I can see it from here. So just go straight. Straight through the river? Yep.

Sure why not.

Alright so.

That was the highlight of the 30km run on Sunday. Myself and Junior Hef and been out on a long run and got a little taken away by the new surroundings here in Portugal. 30km run with 3km cross country mud section and the river swim of about 60meters. It was good fun. A filthy dirty river. When we hit the bank on the other side we just kept running, like we were in some adventure race.

The training camp here in Morto Gordo in Portugal has been a good one. I have had lot of running and swimming on this camp, hitting over 30km most run days, with double runs. The pool sessions have been good and I had my best 10×300m set ever on Friday. On the running side of things I’m still doing lots of base miles,  just volume. My interval sessions won’t start until May. It’s a long season and while im still in heavy swim volume we can leave the top end-running alone. It has been very nice wearing shorts and feeling the sun on the legs again, after keeping them rapped up since October.

Part of going on training camp’s, well for the past 2 anyway has been the feature of growing a mustache. I am trying to make it a feature on the camps but so far I have been the only participant. I have asked the girls but they all seem a little reluctant to grown one. (I don’t know why) I have also decided to keep my mustache for the length of lent. Kind of a self inflicted sacrifice. So while the rest of you are on your Jesus diets and not eating the good things in life, I’m keeping my caterpillar lip cultivated.
