Yesterday I stood in a wet and muddy field in the midlands for a few hours, my Sundays are pretty wild I tell you. Usual Sunday carry on from me standing in fields, but this time I had something to look at. The National cross country champs took place in Kilbeggan, I was there revisiting my past life as a cross country runner and photographer as you see from the few shots below, and as part of Lizzy Lee’s cheer squad. 14th in her first year running and her first National Cross Country. Great stuff girl.

Watching the Men’s race and seeing guys I used to compete against definitely lit the fire in my belly for running cross country again. Maybe next year, the level the guys are running at is pretty impressive and you would need to be in some amazing shape to compete. Right now I am a long way off that sort of form. I started back training today after my little winter break, two weeks was not much of a break from training, I would like some more but there are important things to tend to in the swimming pool.
