My season was supposed to be ending last week after the run tests in SINI, but after speaking with Chris, we have decided to keep me racing, and not put me out into the field with winter coat on just yet. That’s why I got a Half IM this weekend, and sure why not when the going is good. I’ll have three ITU races after that – Spain in two weeks time and another in Turkey a month later. My final race will be a World Cup event in Mexico on the 8th of November, which I can’t wait for. The TT bike is ready for another outing tomorrow, I haven’t been on it much this year, but she is looking good, it’s all about the look, Right?

Ready to Roll, again?

Ready to Roll Again?

So all this means that I’m still racing and training which brings me on to this weekend, The Lost Sheep Half Ironman in Kerry, Jesus it’s so beautiful down there, and when the sun shines like it says it will, there is no where else in the world I would rather be, I haven’t done a half IM since February, and I have only done two ever, one with a cracking bike time and disaster of a run and one with a terrible bike and an amazing run. So its third time’s a charm!

I’m not sure how the bike form will hold up. Cycling has not really been in the training program for the past two months, so the distance will tell but i”m really looking forward to the race. The bike course is amazing with some great climbs and even better descents on great country roads. Wish you could be here kids…
